BA/BS In Communications
The Communication major at the University of Utah emphasizes academic learning, including theoretical and methodological expertise, along with practical and technical knowledge and training. Many Communication graduates go on to work within the areas of public relations, advertising, integrated marketing, print and broadcast journalism, documentary film making, and photography. They enter these fields with broad knowledge and insight; a capacity for leadership; a sense of innovation and entrepreneurialism; critical thinking skills; strong decision-making skills; the ability to think, speak, write, and listen; and a general knowledge of the liberal-arts tradition.
